A UX Designer with experience in digital products and front-end development. I want to create designs that make people's lives better. Currently freelancing in Tampa, FL.

about me

HI there! my name is Kate. I'm originally from Thailand and immigrated to the US in 2016 for the student exchange program. Before becoming a UX Designer, I had a ton of different jobs. More than most people can list in their career. I worked in a dating company, an event planner, a customer service, a personal assistant, and an office admin. I also worked as an online marketing and front-end developer. And currently working as a freelance designer.

In order to do that, I had to be really detailed and organized and stay on top of different tasks that I had to handle in order to move the project forward. So I feel like the skills that I gained from my previous roles really help me be successful at handling projects.

I do my best to stay educated on the newest trends and frequently volunteer for small businesses.

Besides, I am a DJ, an amateur music producer, a gamer who loves stealth games, and a gym rat who can do 300lb hip thrust.

my design journey

I got in UX Design while I worked at a dating company. Our website had a poor UX Design and every day I will get a call from users asking how to use our website and that it's what inspire me.

I download Balsamiq when it was still free and tried to come up with a better design for users. Since then I have been teaching myself about UX and coding. My favorite part of being a UX Designer is being able to work on complex problems and trying to simplify those problems into a solution that works for users.

my values

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it

When you're in a positive state, you're more like to be enthusiastic about achieving your goal. Positivity also helps you become more confident in yourself.

Do what you love

There is the truth behind this when we consider how happiness and positivity affect us during growth. When you work a job that you love, you’ll find that overall productivity is boosted and it enhances your performance.

The struggle is part of the story

When times are tough and you are struggling you must reach deep down to keep going, and there has to be some hard to have a happy ending to any story.

Treat others the way you want to be treated

If you don't like the way you're treated, there's only one course of action--to change your behavior, because you can't change anyone else's.
